The Life of a Froo Froo Addict
Yesterday I received a call from Bryan at 2nd Chance Antiques in Everett. He tole me he had a bunch of "froo froo #$%^*" that wasn't his thing and asked if I want to come take a look. Well yes of course I did as "froo froo" is definitely my thing. I arrived bright eyed and bushy tailed right when he opened up shop to peruse what treasures he had lined up for me. I wasn't disappointed.
In the back of his store I found not just froo froo but Antique French froo froo. My heart racing, I tried to play it cool but failed miserably. Bryan knew I loved everything he had but luckily I knew he really wanted it out of his store. I started making a pile on the lovely French linens knowing the bigger the pile the better the deal. I made a big pile. The pillows and French pots were just the beginning, he had a fabulous Antique French Corona that goes over a bed that is hard not to keep myself.
Loading up my treasure with minimum haggling I headed to the store and set about displaying the new items. My first priority was hanging the French Corona and its yards and yards of fabric. After dragging out the 10 foot ladder, Destiny and I got down to business. I soon discovered fabric of this fine quality is HEAVY! 10 feet in the air one hand holding the screw gun while balancing the Corona's heavy wood frame on my head and the other hand lining up the screw I got down to business. I sometimes amaze myself, 15 minutes later with a very sore head and elbow the Corona was hung. Destiny didn't quit and it looks like Versailles when you first walk in. Tomorrow I will head in for my 2nd load. I stopped by Walmart on my way home and got an Elbow brace so I'm good to go!
