Big Sky Country!

So I headed to Big Sky Country yesterday driving 3 mountain passes to celebrate the parents' 82nd and 85th birthdays. I always try to bring them a small painting for their gallery wall and love when I am out treasure hunting and see a smaller oil painting that I think they will like. After years of doing this the wall is so filled with art that we are going to have to find a new spot and to hang them!

They are responsible for my love of art and antiques and I love sharing with them things I know will bring them joy.

While I am here I visit their friends who have also become my friends and love the differences in decor. Here in Bigfork, Montana, it is log cabin lodge style. Western paintings, log furniture and cozy fireplace accessories to name a few. I alway pick up a few Western paintings and some other treasures for the store when I am here. Recently a lady came into the store also from Bigfork and bought a painting and brought it right back here about 6 miles from where I originally bought it; we had a chuckle about that.

I will be returning home Friday , weather permitting, with a car packed with as much as I can squeeze in it for the shop. Hope to see you soon!
